About project

Wikimedia Projects encompass a wide range of collaborative initiatives driven by the Wikimedia Foundation. These projects include Wikipedia, the world’s largest encyclopedia; Wikimedia Commons, a repository for free media files; and Wikidata, a structured database of knowledge. Through the collective efforts of volunteers, these projects aim to provide free access to information and empower individuals to contribute, share, and expand the global knowledge base. Odia Wikipedia is one of the many Wikipedia projects for Odia language. The aim of the project is to increase the Odia language content over internet as an updated Encyclopaedia.

Roles and Responsibilities

Odia Wikipedia

I was given the rollbacker privilege to revert spam edits in 2019.
I got admin access in 2022. As an admin, my role revolves around the following:
- Harmony among the contributors
- Resolving Technical issues
- Representing Odia Wikipedia in world forums
- Regulating the edits
- Actively participating in resolving conflicts.
Social media accounts manager from April 2019 to Dec 2019.
Content creator to show on homepage and social media channels.

Wikimedia Commons

Uploading relevant photographs and videos regarding visited places with CC-BY-SA-4.0 license.
Uploading Odia words pronunciation audio files with CC-0 license, which later can be used for Speech technologies.

Starting out here to increased structured data presence.
